A Deck Built for Brooklyn Backyards That Holds Up
We build, repair and refinish decks across Brooklyn and the surrounding boroughs, from pressure-treated pine to composite boards.
A quick look at the deck work we handle most.
New deck, built from the footings up to hold real weight.
Fix the soft boards and bouncy spots before someone falls through.
Keep the wood from graying out and splitting in a New York winter.
A deck shaped to fit your actual yard, not a standard rectangle.
Boards that won't rot, splinter or need restaining every couple years.
A railing that won't wobble when you lean on it.
We build and repair decks for homeowners across Brooklyn, from a small stoop-level platform to a full second-story deck off the kitchen. If you're reading this, chances are your deck boards are cupping, the railing wobbles when you lean on it, or you're starting from scratch with a bare yard. We see the same failures over and over: ledger boards bolted straight into siding with no flashing, joists spaced too wide, footings that never made it below the frost line. Most of what goes wrong with a deck traces back to one of those three things.
We flash every ledger board where it meets the house, so water runs off instead of into the wall framing. Joists get spaced at 16 inches on center under composite decking, tighter than a lot of crews bother with, because composite sags more than wood between supports over time. Footings go down below frost depth, poured and cured before anything gets framed on top. It costs a bit more upfront and it's the reason the deck is still tight and square five winters from now.
Based in Brooklyn, out to job sites across the boroughs.
Not on the list? Give us a call anyway. We are often working nearby.
Most of our work comes from someone telling a neighbor about us. Here is why that keeps happening.
We carry the insurance a deck job actually requires, in case something goes wrong on your property.
We pull the permits Brooklyn requires for deck work, so inspections aren't a surprise later.
No leftover lumber scraps or nail debris in your yard when we leave.
You get a written price before any lumber gets ordered, not a number over the phone.
We give you a start date and a finish date, and we show up on both.
Based in Brooklyn, so we know the row house lots and the co-op board paperwork.
Two of our joists near the stairs had basically turned to mush, didn't even know until they pulled up the boards. Fixed it in a day, out in Bensonhurst.
Our deck boards were gray and splintery after last winter. They pressure washed and restained, had to reschedule once because of rain but gave us a heads up the day before.
Went with composite so we'd stop restaining every summer, joists spaced tighter than our old deck which apparently matters for composite. We're out near New Rochelle, they didn't blink at the drive.
